Kisimani House is situated on Lamu Island a minute's walk from Peponi Hotel on Shela Beach. Although Lamu Island remains as ancient as ever, the coolness that characterize the beaches and waters of the island have transformed it to one of the best romantic destinations in Kenya.
Kisimani House was originally built in the 18th century for the Caliph of Zanzibar; Kisimani House has been carefully restored, extended and beautifully furnished in Swahili style. The atmosphere is out of the Arabian Nights, complete with a traditional central open courtyard.
